Van Diemen

23 October 2003- End of 2003 Season

The end of the 2003 season sees another year of Formula Ford domination by Van Diemen on both sides of the Atlantic.

Having already won the British FF Zetec Championship (Tom Kimber-Smith, Team JLR Van Diemen RF03) and its associated scholarship class (James Walker, Team JLR Van Diemen RF02) last weekend saw Jonathan Bomarito win the US Formula Ford 2000 Series at Road Atlanta in his PR1 Motorsports Van Diemen RF03.

The following day, Sunday 19 October, Joey Foster won the all-important Formula Ford Festival and World Cup at Brands Hatch in his Continental Racing Van Diemen RF03, followed home in the final by a further 4 Van Diemen chassis.

The 1600cc "King of Kents" class at Brands Hatch was also won by Van Diemen, when Matthew Gilmore (Van Diemen RF92) had a flag-to-flag victory.
